welcome to oscar w's
Oscar W's wharfside red gum grill and deck bar is Australia's favourite restaurant overlooking the Murray River. The restaurant is positioned high on the Murray River's bank, next to Echuca's famous red gum wharf offering amazing views over the Murray River, and the port of Echuca’s paddle steamer fleet. Oscar W's was created to celebrate the traditional with a subtle contemporary twist. Recycled timbers, galvanised iron, stainless steel, huge open fire and antique lounges all combine to create a truly unique canvas from which we can offer our many guests a great Echuca experience.

The age good food guide 2014, has awarded oscar w's wharfside the prestigious chef's hat. the team at oscar w's are ecstatic at receiving the recognition. Here is a snippet of what they had to say, "“This is a stylishly renovated timber and corrugated iron restaurant perched high on a bend of the murray river in Echuca’s historic wharf precinct. It’s where cockatoo’s and paddle-steamers accompany a tasty lunch or memorable dinner...." 15/20

australian good food & travel guide 2013, chef's hat - friends & families unite at oscar w’s wharfside, overlooking the murray river & the historic echuca port. the simple setting is appropriately set in timber and wooden tones. a colloquial australian theme is abundant with pieces of corrugated iron throughout. don’t arrange a sitter, because a great kids menu & the passings of paddle steamers are bound to delight & entertain. the menu may include: free range organic berkshire pork (different style of pork every week) or local wagyu steak (different cuts available) served with in season tomato salad.

gourmet traveller wine, fine wine partners wine list of the year awards 2013, very highly recommended
“Cooee, there’s a wealth of Australian producers to select from, including a run of Jasper Hill that would make your cellar weep, and a slew of fancy wines from the likes of Torbreck and other icon Australian producers. It’s an impressive list with some smart imports, too. “
